Many countries in the world have implemented measures to combat the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic. For this reason, a significant number of companies have switched to home-based working models, increasing the demand for services that facilitate online communications. The social network application Pepo based on integrated Zoom meetings to meet the growing demand for Live Streaming services caused by the aforementioned conditions.
Pepo is a social networking application and launched its platform in 2019. The application makes use of the OST platform and allows a user to send rewards to other users with the Pepo token, the application’s native ERC-20 token which has a 1:1 parity with the OST token of the OST platform. On the other hand, Zoom is a remote conferencing service that facilitates online meetings.
The integration of Zoom to Pepo has been done under a new function called Pepo live events. The function is in its beta phase and only Pepo community administrators can broadcast on it. However, anyone can participate in the live streams without having an account on the plattform.
Administrators will have control over the start of the event, they will be able to mute and un-mute users, share their screen with participants, invite people to the live event, designate a person as host. In addition, Pepo will store the events and in the future will allow users to access previous live streams. The maximum limit for each event is 3 hours.
